The Dignity Initiative

The Dignity Initiative is a restorative professional learning experience that helps faculty and staff strengthen the self-awareness, judgment, and relational skills essential to respectful, equitable, and inclusive academic communities. Moving beyond compliance, the program uses reflection, dialogue, real-world application, and skill practice to build capacity for communication, perspective-taking, navigating difference and conflict, reflective accountability, relationship repair, and professional responsibility.

Grounded in adult learning, restorative practice, organizational development, and higher education scholarship, it approaches accountability as an opportunity for meaningful learning, growth, and lasting change. Flexible delivery options—including individual, cohort-based, and hybrid models—allow the experience to be tailored to institutional goals, professional roles, and participant needs while maintaining a shared commitment to dignity, responsibility, and professional excellence.
